Busy, Busy

Sorry that I have not been so good this week at having a post. It has been crazy this week. We had our first meeting of our core group for Remedy Church on Monday night and that was really awesome! However, that afternoon, Aiden decided to divulge his new found allergy. Yes, he is allergic to avocados!! We also have to keep him away from cinnamon, bananas, cantaloupe, kiwi, and mango because they have the same protein that cause this allergic reaction. He threw up for a very long time and became very lethargic... I was not a big fan at all!!! Thanks so much to my neighbor, Mackenzie, who drove me and the kids to the doctor!!! She is awesome!
Today we got to go to the Discovery Place in Charlotte with Aunt Cheryl and Josh before he leaves to go to college. It was so much fun!!! There will be pictures soon! The girls had so much fun there. It is a really cool place. Aunt Cheryl let them pick a prize from the gift shop. Charis picked out a really cool brush and she is VERY proud of it. It goes everywhere with her... Jaycie picked out a koosh ball and I think it is in the bed with her right now. It was such a special day! (Aiden got to sleep on his Aunt Cheryl so that made him very happy...)
So right now we are learning how to get along with each other (mainly the girls) and we are waiting for Aiden's teeth to finally get through all the way....

The Adventures of Charis...day 2

Okay, today towards the end of nap time I heard a strange noise like someone was pressure washing their driveway. I kept hearing it for about 5 minutes and then it hit me.... Well you see, right before nap time I was dusting up stairs and I finished up in my room and left the BRAND NEW bottle of pledge on the table in my room!!! I should know better by now. Well you guessed it, Charis woke from her nap and for who knows how long was up stairs successfully emptying the can on pretty much everything. I found her sitting on the top stairs applying it to her arms and legs and the carpet (it looked like it had snowed). The picture shows a little of her destruction that took place in Jaycie's room. What you can't see is the many other patches in the carpet that she sprayed and the closet door was covered!!!

Oh yeah, and tonight we put her to bed and about thirty minutes later oh what a surprise we had. Phud had put a gate at her door so she couldn't come out of her room. Well she needed to go poo poo and couldn't get out so she pooped her pants, busted down the gate, and grabbed the pack of baby wipes off of the banister and used them to wipe herself a lot... I was downstairs and I guess Phud didn't hear any of it. When he went to put Jaycie to bed, that is when he found the situation. There was poop on the floor and a lot of dirty wipes! He cleaned her up and put her to bed and she put her thumb in her mouth as usual to go to sleep. Then it hit Phud.....he didn't check nor wash her hands! That's right, she had lots of poop all up her arms and all over her hands and thumbs!!!!!!! So yes, she ate poop!! (She still has not topped Jaycie yet...)

Charis (AKA Swiper)

If you know anything about the cartoon Dora the Explorer, then you know about Swiper the fox. Well, Charis has acquired that title and rightfully so! Yesterday was a priceless day for Charis aka swiper.... We started the morning by finding her in bed with a pair of adult toe nail clippers and some little white dots which at the time Phud (who found her) had no clue what the white dots were for. These items were apparently obtained the night before during bedtime. After breakfast I was searching for Aiden's teething tablets... I searched for a long time in my room where I had them the night before. After a long frustrating search, I was lead to look in Charis bed for some reason and low and behold, there they were!! The bottle of 250 tablets! But, there were definitely some missing. After talking with Phud, I discovered that the little white dots that Phud found in her bed was the teething tablets. She said she ate "one, two, three, four." There were definitely some missing but not too many (maybe around 10 or so).
So then at nap time I was so excited that she had gone to sleep pretty quickly, so I thought, so I stayed in Jaycie's room to help her go to sleep quickly. Well, when Jaycie went to sleep I went in to check on Charis and to my surprise there was no Charis!!!! I searched everywhere upstairs and still no Charis. So I went downstairs and who was sitting at the kitchen table with her blanket and clothes in hand and eating but Charis. I took her back to bed and went back downstairs and found at the table where she was sitting.....the teething tablets (which were on the counter). This time, there was half a bottle missing and two on her chair!!!! So I went up and asked her how many she ate and she said "one, two, three, four". So I called poison control and it was fine (they said she would have to eat 6 bottles before it could hurt her!!)
So now we have bedtime.... There was a half bottle of water sitting on the banister on the stairs. Well, after Chairs was put to bed, Phud noticed the bottle was missing (it had been sitting there all day). So by now we know that if something is missing....check Charis first!! And there it was, an empty water bottle in Charis's bed. She was actually laying her face on it. She had drank some and poured some......
Never a dull moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I do keep reminding myself that Jaycie was much more adventurous so I need to be thankful for the few adventures with Charis!)

Columbia Zoo

Here is a picture of the kids with their grandparents at the zoo (minus Paw because he doesn't do zoo's). Aiden was a big fan of the animals!!

The Columbia Zoo

We went to columbia this past week and Jeep (Phud's mom) took us to the zoo (Grandma and Grandaddy came along as well). Needless to say, the girls had a blast. Jaycie got to feed the giraffes, but Charis wanted no part in that!! It was so much fun!

Jaycie in the mud

Jaycie and Charis were outside playing with their water table and they discovered that you can pour water on the orange hard dirt and make some really cool slimy clay!!! Jaycie had a ball as you can see...

Never a dull moment with Charis

Charis is a piece of work. Today during nap time I found her at the top of the stairs like this...

Upon further investigation I found that she was crying because she was having trouble breathing and sweating really bad because she decided to put on several extra shirts before she went to sleep! The total number of shirts turned out to be....11 (that's right, eleven)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a picture of the shirts once I peeled them off...
