The "Snow"

So we finally got a little bit of snow here. I think we got between 1 and 2 inches when it was done. The girls were so excited. Aiden was too. He loved it. He especially loved to walk in it. The only problem was that our terrible patchy grass kept tripping him up when he would take off through it and he would fall. He didn't mind at all!! The girls loved throwing snowballs at their daddy and his truck. Jaycie even made a LITTLE snowman.

This is the little snowman that Jaycie made. She was very proud of it. She has been watching Frosty the Snowman almost daily and has been eagerly waiting for some snow so she could build her own Frosty.

Here is Aiden taking off for the snow. Notice Jaycie in the background busy making her snowman!!!

The girls and their daddy checking out the backyard.

Here is Charis expressing her excitement about the snow!

Check out Aidens snowy pants!!! He did not want us to hold his hands!

My Big Boy!!

January 9th, Aiden turned one!! I can't believe it has been a year already. We had a little party for him that night. I made him a scooby doo cake and then a little cake for him to eat himself. By the time we got to cake time he was so tired. Also, he did not care for the new icing that I tried out on him. It was very sticky and he just wanted it off of his hands.

The party table!!

This is the scooby doo cake that I made for him. (It took forever to make and a second to eat!)

Grandma made Aiden this special birthday shirt! (She embroidered it.)

Jaycie and her nails

Jaycie got a nail salon thing for Christmas. She is all about painting her nails and so is sneaky Charis. We find them all the time painting their nails with this new contraption. Jaycie always asks but Charis on the other hand just appears with painted fingers and nails and a big smile! They also get to mix the polish and make different colors. It is very loud but so exciting for the girls. it does have a glitter blower that is no longer allowed to be used!! (I am sure you can guess why, besides the fact that is blows the glitter straight out at your face!) Anyway, here are a few pictures from when Jaycie got to use it for the first time. (Oh yeah, did I mention that is is washable finger nail polish?? Yeah, that is why they get to use it.)

Happy Birthday

Christmas night we had our annual birthday party for the Christmas Birthdays. Phud, Ann Gaston, and Kim Kurriger all get to share their birthdays with each other and Jesus.

My mom gave me these awesome candles that are linked together so you just light one and it sends the flame around and lights the rest. It worked great! So in this picture they are watching the candles light.

Yes, they all get to be Phud's age!!!! (Kim and Ann really like that!!)

Surprise Breakfast!

One Saturday before Christmas we had four former students show up at our house at 8:00 AM!! To my surprise they were there to make breakfast for us!!! They brought everything, even their own waffle maker. It was so sweet. They made us bacon, eggs, pancakes, and waffles. It was all so good! What an awesome surprise!

Here is Nicole helping Brian finish up the bacon (it was taking forever to cook it on the lean mean fat grilling machine.) I think Jessica was supervising.
This is the impressive stack of pancakes that Nicole mixed up and Jessica cooked.

Brian was serious about cooking the bacon. He did a fabulous job! he also did a great job with keeping the girls in line..hee hee.

April can make some mean eggs!!!

Here they are all working hard...
