She was in bed by 9:30 and when I was tucking her in she proceeded to tell me that her fan (which is an air purifier that we use as a noise maker) said that it was to always have a filter on it or the dust mites will fly back into the air. She told me that she read that on the back. And in fact it does say that...well it just says dust but because of her awful dust might allergy all dust equals dust mites to her. Also she told me it says that it could cause a fire if it is not used properly. And again she was correct!
Well, an hour and 10 min. later I heard water running upstairs. It was about 10:35pm and when Phud got up there, he saw baking soda everywhere! I had a huge bag a baking soda in my bathroom because we use it so much to sooth diaper rashes and irritations during bath time. Well she got out of bed and read the whole back of the baking soda bag and started following directions!
Here is what she read:
Use in bathroom: Will safely remove tough soil, lift off dirt and soap scum.
Sinks, counters, tubs, showers, toilets, tile and more.
Well, Jaycie fully followed the directions!!! She was in our shower scrubbing it with baking soda with her bare hands!! Gross!!
As Phud looked around he saw that everything else had already been cleaned because they were covered with baking soda...the toilet, sinks, counters, tub, and more! Phud asked her what in the world she was doing and she said, "Baking soda cleans everything Daddy!" Then she launched into an explanation of everything the bag said it cleaned. What a mess she is.
She reads so fluently but we were not ready for her ability to read EVERYTHING! We like it when she can help us memorize verses by reading along while we recite the verse and correcting us when we are wrong. But when it comes to reading directions on cleaning products and following all of them literally, well that has proven to be a little less desirable.
Lastly, when Phud took her to bed, she said, "Daddy, baking soda doesn't taste very good."
