More family pictures

Here are some more family pictures that our friend Brian took for us. As you will see, it was very windy that day. In the last picture, Aiden's hair makes us laugh really hard!!!

Aiden on the Run

I took these pictures of Aiden last week walking behind his little push thing. He has now stood a couple of times on his own and walks just barely holding on to our fingers. He is also getting his two bottom teeth! I don't know if I can handle all of this happening so fast and all at once! I love my baby!!!

Charis the over-achiever

Charis is quite the over-achiever... She thinks that she can do everything that Jaycie can do even though she is only two and Jaycie is four. When Jaycie and I are doing her schoolwork (yes, we homeschool) I give Charis a dry erase book to doodle in. Well, I looked over last week and I saw that Charis was really tracing the letters and shapes. She is very excited that she can do it. Now she loves to get the books and trace the letters and pictures and yell "Look Mommy, I can write my letters." She is so funny!

Quick story...

Today we were in Jaycie's room cleaning and she announced that she had dirt on her toe. Then she licked her thumb and said, "I can get it off with my spit." Then she said, "that is how my daddy cleans my face when it is dirty." Yes, Phud, not me, is the spit washer of the family!!! I just thought all you mom's would enjoy this (and you too Dita).

Mornings

Mornings are something else in the Chambers' house. It seems like all the kids wake up at the same time. The girls head straight for our room! Usually whoever gets there first stands in front of one of our faces and when we open our eyes, there is a big head right in front of us!!! It was quite frightening the first 10 times but now we are getting use to it! Then they climb into bed with us and it is semi-peaceful until seconds later the next one appears. Then we just hear a very loud "JAYCIE". (Charis loves her sister!) So then we have to quickly turn on Curious George (thank you PBS) before a wrestling match breaks out in the bed! And then Aiden wakes up seconds later ready to start his very active day. Anyway, having said all of this, we do love the snuggle time in the mornings, however brief it is!

Go Dawgs!!!

Just is case you didn't know, this past weekend was the Georgia / South Carolina football game. Phud is of course a born and bred Carolina fan, and I am of course a born and bred Georgia fan (go dawgs!!). Anyway, we decided to have a little fun with the girls. We have an on going war with each other where we have the girls say "go dawgs" and "go gamecocks". So for the game Saturday I found a shirt that a friend of mine gave me a long time ago and put it on Jaycie and I found my Georgia hat for Charis. I already knew that Georgia was of course going to win so I wanted them outfitted correctly.... When Phud saw it, he had to dig out his old Carolina shirt and ruin, I mean dress Charis in it. It was really funny. It was a great game (even though I was very sad about the Carolina guy who fumbled in the end zone...I really was sad about that.) The girls had a blast and were too cute!! And of course, Georgia won!!!!

The girls have their game faces on in this picture!!

Finally

That's right, after four years we finally have a family picture! The last family picture we had was when Jaycie was 3 months old. So here it is... There are more to come but this is all we have for now. (I know our parents are very excited to finally have this!)

Aiden's Adventures...

Now that Aiden is walking behind things, he also feels that he needs to climb everything... Just a few minutes ago, I was doing something in my room and I looked over at the toy box and the pictures tell it all. He had climbed in the toy wagon and was playing. I happened to be right beside the camera and I quickly snapped a few very cute pictures!

Aiden in the kitchen

Yes, Aiden has discovered in the past few weeks that he can open the cabinets! He also discovered that this particular cabinet has nice big shiny bowls that make lots of noise when you bang on them or bang them together. He loves it.

Cookin' with Moma

If I am in the kitchen, then so are the girls!!! They love to cook. This particular day I was making fig jelly and they each had their own little job. It is always very important that they both have their own little job!! Meals of course take longer to prepare, but they love it. Aiden, well he just loves to eat!!

Homeschooling...

Jaycie has started kindergarten at home. She loves homeschooling. A few weeks back she wrote her name on the chalkboard (the top one). Phud drew two lines and showed her how to write your name even. He gave her the chalk and this was what she did (the bottom one). Phud was very proud of her so he took a picture. She also took her first spelling test today and got all of the words right! She is four and can read most children's books on her own!! It is crazy! She amazes us! (I know you think I am exaggerating but I am really not!)

Growing up!

A couple of weeks ago we put Aiden in Charis's "blue chair" to eat his Cheerios. He is such a big boy! He will be eight months next week. Today he was walking behind one of his push toys!! Hmmm.... maybe I should take a picture and post that monumental moment!!

She's at it again...

Charis came down the stairs after nap time like this the other day...

This is what she had on after everything was pulled off...

She loves to put lots of clothes on when she is supposed to be sleeping!!
