Tooth #3

Last night we put Jaycie to bed and about 30 min. later she appeared downstairs and told us that her tooth was about to come out. It has been loose for a LONG time. We just told her to leave it alone because she was not allowed to keep getting so big.... :-) Well as you can see, it came out very easily! This is her third tooth that she has lost (but the first top tooth). So after all the excitement, she quickly went to bed with her tooth under her pillow so the tooth fairy could come. (She gave the tooth fairy her request before she went to bed. LOL) So the tooth fairy headed to walmart (because the dollar store was closed) and got her a dollar toy (a microphone-which was requested). Then he wrote a series of clues and put them all throughout the house to send her on a treasure hunt when she woke up. When she woke up we could hear her going throughout the house finding her clues to the hidden treasure. Her 5th clue was at Phud's bedside table and she had to give him a big kiss and tell him she was awake looking for her surprise (so we could watch the rest of the hunt). It was so much fun!

Aiden's 2nd Birthday

Well it is the end of january so I figured I better post Aiden's Birthday pictures! His Birthday was January 9th so yes, I am way behind!!! As you will see, he had such an awesome time!

He loves Curious George so I made him a curious george cake this year. He was so excited about his cakes!

Finished Product

Here is the finished product of the Christmas Tree. We had to wait and put the lights and decorations on after Aiden went to bed. So the next morning he was so excited and had to investigate it all!!!

The Christmas Tree - 2009

Yesterday (Friday), we went to the Christmas tree farm to cut down our tree. It was freezing cold! It was 39 degrees when we first got there, but it warmed up some by the time we went home. These are some pictures from our adventure.

Tooth number two!

Jaycie lost her second tooth last night. So the tooth fairy got to come again!! She requested that the tooth fairy put her prize in a special place and leave her a note to tell her where it was. (That was what we did last time.) So she went to bed and put her tooth under the pillow. We left a note and put her bouncy ball and blow pop (which she requested) in the special place (on Phud's bedside table.) So at 5 AM, Jaycie entered our room following the clues on her note, looking for her prize!!!!! I told her to go to bed and come back at 7 but she said she was too excited and couldn't sleep until she found it. So I let her continue... She was so excited about her ball and ran back upstairs and put her prize in the bed and supposedly went back to sleep. So once again, the tooth fairy's visit was a success.

If you look close you can see the permanent tooth coming in where she lost her first tooth.

Hawk

About a month ago Phud told me to run up stairs and give the girls a bath while he cut Aiden's hair. Well I did and when I finished Aiden ran into the room with a huge smile and sporting a huge mohawk. He was so excited. Every morning he would get up and point to his head and say "Hawk" because he wanted a mohawk. He just recently got it cut off after a month of having it and still asks sometimes for us to give him a hawk. (So we just put the hair gel in his hair and he thinks he has a hawk...) Here are some pictures of the sweet hawk!

Jaycie's first lost tooth!

Here are some pictures of Phud trying to pull the tooth a day or so before it actually came out. Notice Charis in the background. She just wanted to be in the picture! She actually told us that! In fact, in one picture, she stuck her head right in front of the camera!

October 21, 2009.....Jaycie lost her first baby tooth!!!

Well, after two days of pulling Jaycie's first tooth finally came out! So yes, we get to be the tooth fairy tonight!!!!! I am not sure who is more excited, us or Jaycie. All she wants from the tooth fairy is a blow pop! We put her in bed tonight and she naturally got out. Phud told her that if she got out of bed again he was going to pull her tooth. So of course, a few minutes later, she appeared around the corner and wanted him to pull it, again. So Phud was on the phone and just started kinda wiggling it. i walked down the stairs from putting Charis to bed and it came out in his hand. He didn't even realize that it came out and neither did Jaycie. She was so excited and then eagerly went to bed after a few pictures so that the tooth fairy could come!

Here is a funny conversation that Jaycie had with her daddy this week...

Jaycie - "Daddy, are you and mommy the tooth fairy?"

Phud- "Well yes baby, I guess we are."

Jaycie - "So Daddy, you are a fairy?"

Phud - "NO JAYCIE, DADDY IS NOT A FAIRY!"

Too funny!

Charis has no idea that Jaycie lost her tooth and thanks goodness! The other night when we first discovered the loose tooth and started talking about the tooth fairy, Charis would not go to sleep on her own. She wanted someone to stay in there with her because she was afraid the "fairy" was going to come in her room! She told Phud after he played her a song, "Daddy is the fairy going to come in my room? Please sleep with me..." She is so funny!

While I am on funny conversations here is one from Charis this week...

She walked into my room early one morning and said,

"Mommy, I'm Erica, Jaycie is Emily, Daddy is Mr. Mark, and you are Mrs. Lisa."

For those of you who don't know who these people are, they are a family that is in our core group at church. Charis really LOVES Erica!

So I asked who Aiden was and she very quickly said , "Lilly"....Lilly is their cute tiny puppy!!!! So Aiden is the puppy! :-)
