Melissa wanna be!

A good friend of ours named Melissa has been coming over a couple of times a week to watch the girls for me. They LOVE her and are now trying to look like her. She wore a vest jacket the other day and the girls found one that someone had just recently given them and started wearing it so they could look like Melissa. It is actually the purple one in the bottom two pictures. Melissa also wears these really cute small glasses. Well, for the past three days Charis has been real big on wearing her sunglasses in the house all the time! in fact, she tries to wear them at nap time and they are the first thing she puts on in the morning. The first picture here shows what she looked like this morning when she woke up and came down stairs. They are also in to scarves now because Melissa has been wearing one lately! It is so funny!

Jewelry Making

Jaycie is now in the business of making jewelry, She got a jewelry kit of 1500+ beads for a gift. (Yes, Phud was a little beside himself that we were bringing 1500+ unstrung beads into the house but Jaycie's utter excitement helped to soften him...) She has had such a blast making these necklaces and bracelets. Her first project was making a bracelet for Charis with Charis's name on it. It was really sweet!

Aiden walking

Aiden started walking on his own this week. He has been cruising for about 2 1/2 months and this Wednesday he started walking without holding on to anything. He would take about 4 steps before he sat down, but one time he took 6 steps. The girls were very excited as you can see from the pictures. Aiden was so excited that he started clapping for himself. It was really funny.

Aiden on the move!

I was in the kitchen cooking last week and I found Aiden playing in the "toy corner". Someone had left the puzzle box pulled out and Aiden took it upon himself to climb it and sit on it. He then emptied the coasters onto the table and started banging them on the table. I ran into the kitchen for a second and when I came back he had climbed onto the top of the table. I took him down and in less than two seconds he was back up there and sitting on the table. (He did fall off backwards after the second time, but that didn't scare him at all!)

My sweet man!

This is just a sweet picture of Aiden from this past weekend. He wanted to get on the flying squirrel but he just couldn't this time. Instead he just hung out and looked cute!!

Flying Squirrel

We went to Camp Lavida this weekend for a fall retreat with the Winthrop BSU or BCM (which ever one you want to call it). Phud was their speaker for the weekend. Jaycie decided that she wanted to do the "flying squirrel" swing. She did it twice. The first time she only let them pull her up until Phud's hand was at her knee and the second time she was brave and let them pull her even higher up. For those of you who are not familiar with the squirrel swing you can look at the pictures but basically you put a harness on and then they hook something to the back of it that pulls you up very high in the air and then someone pulls you loose and you drop and swing back and forth. Jaycie loved it. Charis did not want to take part in it at all!!! She is afraid of heights. She actually was going to do it until SMAP went before her and he screamed and she quickly changed her mind!

Here's Jaycie getting suited up for her flying adventure...

She's ready to go!!

Here she is all hooked up and getting ready to climb the ladder to get the final rope attached. I love this picture of her and daddy walking to the rope...
This is when they were pulling her up. Most people go to the very top of the pole but she went up until Phud could barely touch the tip of her shoe.

And here is the happy squirrel at the end.......... She loved it!

Aiden's Adventures

Aiden, like the other two when they were this age, loves to get in the cabinets. He especially loves the pots and pans cabinet. No, actually he likes them all! He like to empty them all!!! I usually just let him play while I am cooking so I can get things done without him insisting that I hold him. This time he made his way into the cabinet and had a ball with the pots and pans!
