Trick-or-Treat

The girls were so excited about trick-or-treat night!!! We had so much fun. The girls were ladybugs and Aiden was a very cute kangaroo. Our neighborhood had a little pizza party before we started trick-or-treating. The girls had to take turns ringing doorbells and then they would say trick-or-treat together. Aiden just liked eating his glow stick that his grandma gave him.

Here are the girls with our neighbor, Grace. They love her!!

While taking this picture, Aiden ate lots of grass and dirt!! He also attempted to eat a few wild mushrooms that were growing in the grass!

Happy Birthday to me!

Last Saturday, October 25th was my birthday. The girls and Phud made me a birthday cake and boy was that fun!!! They loved it. It was baked in a Scooby Doo pan and as you will see in the pictures, they got to decorate it. It was the best cake ever! They did a great job!!

Aiden decided to get in on the action too. It didn't last too long though. He wanted to dive in to the cake and it just isn't his turn yet!

The girls loved the decorating part. Apparently Charis was well pleased with her part. Don't ask me why she has a bib on though. You just never know with her!!

The finished product. Isn't it just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Yes, I know, it doesn't look anything like Scooby Doo, but it really is him!)

Spending time with Jesus

Every morning the girls and I have our quiet time with Jesus. We all get our own Bible and usually find our own special spot where we can read about Jesus (or for Charis it is just a time to look at pictures about Jesus...but actually she has some of her Bible memorized because we have read it so much to her!). This particular day I told them that is was time to "spend time with Jesus" and when I got to the living room, this is what I saw.... The girls were on the couch together doing their quiet times!! It was too cute.

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we went to Carowinds for their annual fall festival. The kids got to go to the pumpkin patch there and pick their own pumpkin. They of course loved it. Aiden especially loved it. At one point I found him eating the stem of Jaycie's pumpkin! Also, it was really cold that day so Aiden got to sport his really cool jacket that his Aunt Cheryl gave him. Too cute!

Breakfast

We decided let Aiden try out at the big table. The girls love having him there. He liked it too, but I prefer the highchair because it holds the food better. It was fun for the girls and Aiden while it lasted.

Campfires

Recently, since the weather was getting cooler, we started having campfires in the backyard. The girls love helping daddy start the fire, and they love cooking on the fire. As you can see, Jaycie is a big fan of the hatchet! I am not such a fan of her using the hatchet!!

Charis always wants to do everything that Jaycie does even though she is 2 years younger. She felt she needed to throw sticks in the fire too. We felt she needed help with this!

Charis's first kiss

Charis's buddy Blake came over recently and Charis decided to put the moves on him. Well actually I am not sure who was putting the moves on who!! It was really cute. (Melissa and I were the only wittnesses...) It was too funny. Phud is going to kill me for posting this. Did I mention that this would be her first kiss and last kiss until she gets married when she is at least 35...(so says her daddy!)

It's about time...

GUEST BLOGGER: Phud

Ok. It's been too long. Christie tries to blog, but our children keep her so tired, she just can't stay awake at night to write one. So, I'm pinch hitting tonight for her.
Here are some pictures of the little man.

He smiles a lot!
And he loves his sisters.
