The Graham Cracker Houses

We tried to make gingerbread houses this year, but we ended up using graham crackers instead of gingerbread. The girls didn't care. They had a blast gluing it all down with icing and putting candy all over it. I finally got rid of all the Halloween candy!!!! YEA!!! The only problem I ran into again this year was seeing to it that Charis put more candy on her house than in her mouth! I was not successful in that endeavor. She ate way more than she put on her house. Jaycie however was VERY serious about getting as much candy and icing as possible on her house!!

This is a picture of me trying to convince Charis to stop eating all of the candy and decorate her house with it.

This is Jaycie's finished product. I didn't have a final product picture of Charis's house, but that might have been because she never really finished it.

Christmas Morning

I know it has been a while since I have posted, but I now have some pictures... I only have a few pictures from Christmas morning because we videoed it all. And yes, the little Home Depot workshop was for all three of them. Jaycie has been wanting it ever since she played with it at Mrs. Paula's!!

This is what the girls saw when they came downstairs...

Charis decided to get into this present! She is so funny.

The girls liked Aiden's presents and Aiden liked the girls presents. Crazy!

The Christmas Tree hunt....

Here are some pictures from when we went to cut down our Christmas tree. Phud and I actually saw the tree at the exact same time. It was pretty cool.

What a week!

Wow, what a week! Where do I begin.... Well we will start with me finding Charis in Jaycie's room laying on the floor with no clothes on and a pile of lotion on her belly. I was in the middle of putting Aiden down for a nap and I told her to get it rubbed in... (yeah, I know, who would tell a two year old that but I couldn't do anything about it at that moment.) So when I got back I found her making two perfect hand prints on jaycie's wall. Well that night, we found that Jaycie's wall wasn't her only stop. Her wall right above her bed had about 6 greasy lotion hand prints and two feet prints. She was a busy little girl as usual!

This is just a cute picture of Jaycie and her daddy. She was having herself a spoonful of peanut butter and she was sporting her pigtails that she insisted on having that day (and night).

Another adventure of Charis... we told her when we put the stockings up not to pull on the stockings because the holders could fall and hit her head and it would hurt. Well, yep, Charis needed to try it out. She pulled on Aiden's stocking and down the stocking holder fell on her face that was looking up at it. It was a big Santa that had a deer on one side and a squirrel on Santa's shoulder. Well the deer no longer has ears and the squirrel's ear went into Charis's face. So after I calmed her down and cleaned her up we had to get a bandaid. I had to get one big enough to cover both booboos...

Aiden found a wood spoon on the couch and started spanking the girls with it...hmm...
Today I was in the freezer trying to dig out something for dinner and the ice cream box fell on the floor. Aiden was of course sitting at my feet and when I looked down I saw that he was digging ice cream out of the box and eating it. He really liked it!! Later while I was cooking I heard him making noise so I turned around and he had climbed to the top of the step stool and was reaching in the sink. He had grabbed a glass of old milk that had various other things poured into it and was drinking it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I stopped him before he could get too much in his mouth! I dumped it and took him down but he climbed up there about 3 more times (that is how I was able to get some pictures) and then my brain kicked in and I put the stool up.

More Adventures...

I was cleaning the kitchen the other day and when I looked over at the dishwasher I saw Aiden in it! He had climbed in and was very busy playing and examining everything! I grabbed the camera and he gave me a HUGE smile. I couldn't get the camera open fast enough but these pictures will do.

Melissa wanna be!

A good friend of ours named Melissa has been coming over a couple of times a week to watch the girls for me. They LOVE her and are now trying to look like her. She wore a vest jacket the other day and the girls found one that someone had just recently given them and started wearing it so they could look like Melissa. It is actually the purple one in the bottom two pictures. Melissa also wears these really cute small glasses. Well, for the past three days Charis has been real big on wearing her sunglasses in the house all the time! in fact, she tries to wear them at nap time and they are the first thing she puts on in the morning. The first picture here shows what she looked like this morning when she woke up and came down stairs. They are also in to scarves now because Melissa has been wearing one lately! It is so funny!

Jewelry Making

Jaycie is now in the business of making jewelry, She got a jewelry kit of 1500+ beads for a gift. (Yes, Phud was a little beside himself that we were bringing 1500+ unstrung beads into the house but Jaycie's utter excitement helped to soften him...) She has had such a blast making these necklaces and bracelets. Her first project was making a bracelet for Charis with Charis's name on it. It was really sweet!

Aiden walking

Aiden started walking on his own this week. He has been cruising for about 2 1/2 months and this Wednesday he started walking without holding on to anything. He would take about 4 steps before he sat down, but one time he took 6 steps. The girls were very excited as you can see from the pictures. Aiden was so excited that he started clapping for himself. It was really funny.

Aiden on the move!

I was in the kitchen cooking last week and I found Aiden playing in the "toy corner". Someone had left the puzzle box pulled out and Aiden took it upon himself to climb it and sit on it. He then emptied the coasters onto the table and started banging them on the table. I ran into the kitchen for a second and when I came back he had climbed onto the top of the table. I took him down and in less than two seconds he was back up there and sitting on the table. (He did fall off backwards after the second time, but that didn't scare him at all!)

My sweet man!

This is just a sweet picture of Aiden from this past weekend. He wanted to get on the flying squirrel but he just couldn't this time. Instead he just hung out and looked cute!!

Flying Squirrel

We went to Camp Lavida this weekend for a fall retreat with the Winthrop BSU or BCM (which ever one you want to call it). Phud was their speaker for the weekend. Jaycie decided that she wanted to do the "flying squirrel" swing. She did it twice. The first time she only let them pull her up until Phud's hand was at her knee and the second time she was brave and let them pull her even higher up. For those of you who are not familiar with the squirrel swing you can look at the pictures but basically you put a harness on and then they hook something to the back of it that pulls you up very high in the air and then someone pulls you loose and you drop and swing back and forth. Jaycie loved it. Charis did not want to take part in it at all!!! She is afraid of heights. She actually was going to do it until SMAP went before her and he screamed and she quickly changed her mind!

Here's Jaycie getting suited up for her flying adventure...

She's ready to go!!

Here she is all hooked up and getting ready to climb the ladder to get the final rope attached. I love this picture of her and daddy walking to the rope...
This is when they were pulling her up. Most people go to the very top of the pole but she went up until Phud could barely touch the tip of her shoe.

And here is the happy squirrel at the end.......... She loved it!

Aiden's Adventures

Aiden, like the other two when they were this age, loves to get in the cabinets. He especially loves the pots and pans cabinet. No, actually he likes them all! He like to empty them all!!! I usually just let him play while I am cooking so I can get things done without him insisting that I hold him. This time he made his way into the cabinet and had a ball with the pots and pans!

Trick-or-Treat

The girls were so excited about trick-or-treat night!!! We had so much fun. The girls were ladybugs and Aiden was a very cute kangaroo. Our neighborhood had a little pizza party before we started trick-or-treating. The girls had to take turns ringing doorbells and then they would say trick-or-treat together. Aiden just liked eating his glow stick that his grandma gave him.

Here are the girls with our neighbor, Grace. They love her!!

While taking this picture, Aiden ate lots of grass and dirt!! He also attempted to eat a few wild mushrooms that were growing in the grass!

Happy Birthday to me!

Last Saturday, October 25th was my birthday. The girls and Phud made me a birthday cake and boy was that fun!!! They loved it. It was baked in a Scooby Doo pan and as you will see in the pictures, they got to decorate it. It was the best cake ever! They did a great job!!

Aiden decided to get in on the action too. It didn't last too long though. He wanted to dive in to the cake and it just isn't his turn yet!

The girls loved the decorating part. Apparently Charis was well pleased with her part. Don't ask me why she has a bib on though. You just never know with her!!

The finished product. Isn't it just beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Yes, I know, it doesn't look anything like Scooby Doo, but it really is him!)
